Moving towards the III Congress of the AHS: for the revolutionary culture that we defend

Moving towards the III Congress of the AHS: for the revolutionary culture that we defendThe Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS) will celebrate III Congress of the organization - scheduled to be held from October 16 to 18 - in a strategic context for the nation, said Rubiel García González, who is the national president of that organization.

The young creator expressed that the meeting "will be our best tribute to the historic leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro, and it is our contribution to the revolutionary culture that we defend."

On the challenges with which this meeting is reached, he commented: "With the challenge of maintaining all the agreements of the previous Congress, a moment that consolidated a work platform that has allowed us to review and revisit us, to look inside ourselves."

He added, "In that analysis, we were accompanied by the highest leadership in the country, through the figure of the President of the Councils of States and Ministers, comrade Miguel Díaz-Canel, who was always aware of each one, month after month, what the agreements were, even those that transcended the association and that helped the organization a lot in the way of seeing how it can possibly contribute more and more to the cultural processes of the nation."

When asked about when they began preparations for this national meeting, the leader said, "Without doubt, the third congress began when the second one was over, and that will be the result that will be collected in Havana in October of this year, on the 16th, October 17 and 18 with that process that began in 2013."

"The fundamental idea and the goal is to introduce young artists into a fruitful dialogue with society," said García González, "even though they are not from the organization, with that philosophy that the association is a voluntary, selective institution, but very inclusive with a high social vocation.

"Therefore, the purpose is to involve as many social actors, as the association is not limited to its members and, in fact, in the proposals, the suggestions, the solution proposals are not only projected to the organization, which has been an approach in favor of the revolutionary culture that we defend and is a fruitful food of the nation."

Many have been and are the topics under debate during the processes that are the protagonists of the youngest artistic avant-garde, and on this he underlined:

"Internal functioning, of course, that is, it is not only to exist, and we must function through solid work strategies. The issues that have been repeated most in the debates of the provinces have to do with the implementation of cultural policy and social responsibility that has the organization that mixes youth and talent in each of its members, who can go to work. They are also called to the consecrated artists, but for physical reasons these cannot be everywhere, however, the association with their young creators is present today."

He also highlighted the solid work and careful attention that must have the Young Creator Houses and their responsibility in the community, as well as the work of the university, spaces that in their opinion concentrate a vanguard group.

In October, the next Congress of the Hermanos Saíz Association will be held, an opportunity to evaluate, with a critical and responsible eye, the work of the AHS as a process maker, as a counterpart of the institutions and as a representative of the young artistic avant-garde.
