The friendship is the best jewel for our angel. From the childhood he knew to carve the adamantine phases of that human relation.

 Fermín Valdés Domínguez and Quintano had the luck of being the old one of the friends. He had also been born in 1853, the 7 of July. The friendships of greater generosity always begin in the classrooms of first letters. He began in the School San Anacleto and he was developed during the second education in the School San Pablo.

Fermín was student of first year of medicine when the University of Havana received first hit bloody of the colonialist reaction the 27 of November of 1871, being condemned six years of prison, became in a fighter in favor of the eight martyrs of the university.

Pardoned in 1872, he traveled to Spain, where he  met again with Marti and together they continued their studies in Madrid and Zaragoza.

Graduated as doctor surgeon returns to Cuba, exerting in the region of Baracoa.

Member of the Society of Clinical Studies dedicated to the investigation of diseases of bacterial origin and worked  in the archaeological work of the indocuban culture.

In January of 1894 Revolutionary Cuban was united to Martí in New York, militating in the Party. In July of 1895 he  was gotten up to the independence war where it reached the colonel degree, being Medical service chief of First stage of East and the Fourth Body of the Villas in the Army of liberation. He was representing to the Constituent Assemblies of Jimaguayu and the Yaya and chosen Subsecretary of Relations of the government in arms. He did not hold positions public in the neocolonial republic where he exerted the media in the Triumph, the Country and other publications. He embraced the socialist ideas of his time and second North American armed intervention was against tenaciously to annexationism. He passed away in Havana the 13 of June of 1910.
