
Cuba reported on Tuesday a total of 573 patients admitted in hospitals with the Covid-19, 548 of them with stable clinical evolution, 19 seriously ill and six in critical condition.
Doctor Francisco Duran, National Director of Epidemiology of the Public Health Ministry, reported the death of a patient on Monday, which rises to 95 the death toll though the country's mortality rate keeps low at 2.33%.
Duran reported that 33 new patients were diagnosed with the SARSC-CoV-2 virus, which caused Covid-19, in the last 24 hours, which brings the total number of confirmed cases to 4,065.
He detailed that from the new cases, 15 are women and 18 men, all of them Cuban.
Of these, 27 are contacts from a previously diagnosed case and six are being investigated to know the source of infection, he added.
The expert added that 28 were asymptomatic at the time of diagnosis, for 2,372, 58.4 percent of those confirmed so far; which shows the complexity of the disease, he said.
In the last 24 hours, 17 patients were clinically discharged from hospitals, so that there are now three thousand 395 people recovered from the disease.
At present, Havana, Artemisa, Matanzas are the provinces reporting the new cases, specially the capital where from this September 1st, tighter restrictive measures will be implemented.
