The Wu Opera of the province of Zhejiang, China, will perform for the second time in Cuba on March 2, in the bagging of an international tour that also includes Venezuela and Trinidad and Tobago.
Presentations will begin on Saturday at the entrance of Havana’s Chinatown, with a program that includes music, dance and masked parades used in the so-called Spring Festival.
Later, they will travel to Matanzas province, where it will perform as part of the activities of the Cuba 2013 International Book Fair, before returning to the Capital for its third and presentation, which will take place on March 5 at the Miramar Movie-Theater.
On this occasion, the Wu Opera, founded in 1956, will perform with 19 of its 140 permanent actors.
