Cubans will celebrate New Year and another anniversary of the Cuban Revolution with concerts in public squares all over the island on December 30th, January 1st and 6th.
Havana will host a luxury program for the occasion, including a big concert at the José Martí Anti-imperialist Tribune, featuring the famous and Grammy Award winning band Los Van Van, directed by Juan Formell, the popular Paulo FG orchestra and José Luis Cortés and NG La Banda.
Other favorite bands among Cuban dancers will also give concerts in other public spaces of the capital city, such as Elito Revé y su Charangón; Bamboleo; Maykel Blanco and Tiro de Mente; Haila María Mompié and her band, and los Ángeles de La Habana; as well as Laritza Bacallao and Mayko D’Alma along with the P.M.M. project. Rumba dancers will be delighted with the contagious music at Parque Trillo in Central Havana.
The music fiesta is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on December 30th, with concerts in nearly 108 squares and public areas around the island, and children’s choirs will also take to the streets on January 6th.
