With a gala dedicated to the Cuban television program La danza eterna<\/strong>, the second week of performances of the National Ballet of Cuba will begin on July 13 in the Avellaneda Hall of the National Theater of Cuba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The emblematic dance institution, Cultural Heritage of the Nation, wants to pay tribute to the program of the Educational Channel, precisely next Thursday, the 20th anniversary of its first broadcast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In addition, the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Union of Journalists of Cuba will be celebrated on Friday, July 14, also at 7:00 p.m., according to Mauricio Abreu, director of press and public relations for the prestigious group, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The attractive program will include two works by the British choreographer Ben Stevenson O.B.E., Bart\u00f3k Concerto<\/strong> and Britten Pas de Deux<\/strong>, both of which premiered with great success last week, as well as two emblematic pieces of Cuban choreography: Carmen<\/strong> by Alberto Alonso and Tarde en la siesta<\/strong> by Alberto M\u00e9ndez, which this year celebrates the 50th anniversary of its world premiere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Also included are the ballets End of Time<\/strong> by Ben Stevenson O.B.E. and Espartaco<\/strong> (D\u00fao de amor) by Azari Plisetsky.
