This edition is dedicated to celebrating the 115th anniversary of his birth and the 60th anniversary of the international recognition of <strong>La Guantanamera<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This Sunday, September 3rd, the event will kick off with the exhibition and award ceremony of the <strong>Jose\u00edto Fern\u00e1ndez in Memoriam<\/strong> Plastic Arts Contest. On the second night of the contest, the Identidad dance group will take the stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On September 5th, the book <strong>Jose\u00edto Fern\u00e1ndez, el rey de la melod\u00eda<\/strong> by Mar\u00eda Eugenia Azcuy Rodr\u00edguez and Osmar Noriega Aguirre will be launched. Additionally, Oralitura Habana will be hosting a presentation in celebration of the Cuban musician&#8217;s birthday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At 20:00, the Awards Gala will take place at the Teatro de Variedades Am\u00e9rica. The groups Add\u00e9 Olorum and Identidad will participate, along with solo singers \u00c1ngel Manuel, Regla Ruiz, and Osvaldo Pedroso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jos\u00e9 Fern\u00e1ndez D\u00edaz was born on the 5th of September 1908. He had a distinct style of his own and was referred to as <strong>The King of Melody<\/strong>. Throughout his life, he performed various musical genres and popularized the song <strong>La Guantanamera<\/strong>, which made him an iconic figure in Cuban popular music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Translated by Luis E.
