Organised by the Faculty of Communication (FCOM) of the University of Havana and supported by other institutions, and the Pabell\u00f3n Cuba is the second venue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The opening day of the festival will feature a talk by the renowned audiovisual filmmaker Magda Gonz\u00e1lez Grau, the screening of the short films in the festival&#8217;s competition and a concert by musician Christopher Simpson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Thursday, the Pabell\u00f3n Cuba will host the morning screening of Noticieros ICAIC, followed by a podcasting workshop in collaboration with the Mujeres al Sur project, while in the afternoon a documentary about the dance music group Fanm Zetwal will be screened at FCOM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On 13 October, the results of the event&#8217;s competition will be announced, with entries in the categories of audiovisual short film, audio short film, short story, photography and poster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the main attraction, students from the Cuban university community will have the opportunity to present, in just one minute and in audiovisual format, stories on specific themes proposed by the organising committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The jury is made up of media professionals. It includes professors from FCOM, the University of Havana and the Faculty of Audiovisual Media of the University of the Arts of Cuba. It also includes specialists from the sponsoring organisations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On this occasion, the word \u00abdevelopment\u00bb will be in the forefront of the competition&#8217;s communication products, as well as the programme&#8217;s activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Translated by Luis E.
