This is Acosta Danza Yunior, which will take the stage at Havana&#8217;s Mart\u00ed Theater on Friday, February 9, Saturday, February 10, and Sunday, February 11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Titled <strong>Green Shoots<\/strong>, the season will feature three works: the world premiere of <strong>Fuga<\/strong>, a piece by Spanish dancer and choreographer Susana Pous, created especially for this new company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the first time in Cuba, the duet <strong>Nosotros<\/strong> by Beatriz Garc\u00eda and Ra\u00fal Reinoso will be performed, in the version created for Carlos Acosta&#8217;s show <strong>On Before<\/strong>, as reported by the press team of Acosta Danza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, the creative duo of Thais Suarez and Norge Cede\u00f1o sign the restaging of <strong>H\u00edbrido<\/strong>, a choreography that has undergone an almost total revision by its authors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Acosta Danza Yunior is composed of recently graduated professional dancers from the Acosta Danza Academy and, as a group, will have its own repertoire and performance schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its artistic goals align with the contemporary style, with a marked influence from Cuban modern dance and the folk and popular dances of the Caribbean nation, considering the technical development of classical ballet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Acosta Danza Yunior is a result of the special study plan of the Acosta Danza Academy, including all dance specialties in the same category and is integrated into the system of Cuban artistic education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The name of the new group plays on words with Carlos Acosta&#8217;s second name and the Latin word \u00abjunior,\u00bb meaning \u00abyounger,\u00bb used to refer to individuals starting their professional journey in a discipline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Translated by Luis E.
