{"id":2605,"date":"2024-04-03T14:56:57","date_gmt":"2024-04-03T18:56:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.radioenciclopedia.cu\/cultural-news\/?p=2605"},"modified":"2024-04-03T14:57:04","modified_gmt":"2024-04-03T18:57:04","slug":"in-motion-program-of-the-month-by-the-office-of-the-historian-of-havana","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.radioenciclopedia.cu\/cultural-news\/in-motion-program-of-the-month-by-the-office-of-the-historian-of-havana-03042024\/","title":{"rendered":"In Motion, Program of the Month by the Office of the Historian of Havana"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Cultural Program for April by the Office of the Historian of the City of Havana is dedicated to the 28th edition of the International Festival of Dance in Urban Landscapes: Old Havana, City in Motion; and the XVIII International Videodance Festival DV Danza Havana, Movement and City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both events interconnect multiple languages and perceptions around dance and choreographic creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meeting organized by Danza Teatro Retazos, the Office of the Historian of the City, and the Havana Theater Center, will take place from April 26th to 28th and will have as its main venues the Plaza de Armas, the streets Mercaderes, Oficios, Amargura, and Obrap\u00eda, along with the headquarters of Danza Teatro Retazos (Jard\u00edn Las Carolinas).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a prelude to this great dance festival, the book presentation of <strong>\u00ab<\/strong> <strong>Isabel Bustos: danz\u00e1ndote, Habana<\/strong>,\u00bb by Doctor of Arts, Noel Bonilla-Chongo, will take place on April 19th at Habana Espacios Creativos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the edition by Marietta Su\u00e1rez Recio and the design by Gretel Ruiz-Calder\u00f3n Gonz\u00e1lez, the text is a condensed collection about the life and work of Isabel Bustos with her company Danza Teatro Retazos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The book is \u00aba tribute to her vows for permanence and love for our Havana and its people; it is a song to the city from the multiple dances of Retazos. Hence, this sort of traveling cartography from 1987 to 2023 demands us to dance in time, in space, with the absolute experience that the bones, muscles, and blood flow of our dancing bodies become a password to access the challenges of navigating the ages of the present,\u00bb emphasizes the news release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The book has been made possible thanks to the international cooperation project \u00abPromoting the Integral Development of Old Havana for the enjoyment and preservation of heritage, with communication tools for social transformation,\u00bb developed jointly between the Office of the Historian of the City and KCDoNGD, with funding from the Basque Agency for Development Cooperation (AVCD).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a>Translated by Luis E.
