The event, published under the Ojal\u00e1 publishing house, is scheduled for this Monday, May 6, at the Musical Museum, located on calle Carcel No. 1, entre Habana y Aguiar, in Old Havana, according to a press release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00ab<strong>La Habana, d\u00eda de un a\u00f1o<\/strong>\u00bb recalls the importance of the first joint concert given by Silvio Rodr\u00edguez, Pablo Milan\u00e9s and Noel Nicola at the Casa de las Am\u00e9ricas on February 19, 1968. It explores the impact on the lives of these emerging creators and the countless young people who felt represented by them at that moment. The book delves into the connections of this generation with a particularly intense period and its role in the genesis of an artistic movement that would later be recognized as particularly important: the Nueva Trova.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the testimonies of some of the protagonists and spectators, the book also offers the public access to more than a dozen previously unpublished photographs of the concert, discovered by the author during her research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Patricia Ballote \u00c1lvarez (born in Havana in 1992) holds a degree in Conservation and Management of Cultural Heritage from the San Ger\u00f3nimo University College in Havana and has been a member of the team at Ojal\u00e1 Studios-Silvio Rodr\u00edguez Office for ten years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The presentation of \u00ab<strong>La Habana, d\u00eda de un a\u00f1o, A m\u00e1s de medio siglo de una \u201cnueva trova<\/strong>\u00bb will be led by Mar\u00eda Elena Vinueza, director of music at the Casa de las Am\u00e9ricas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Translated by Luis E.
