It will also serve as a tribute to his curatorial work as part of the celebrations of International Museum Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a researcher and curator of national visual arts, Ram\u00f3n V\u00e1zquez has organized numerous exhibitions, many of which have been pivotal in Cuban art history: \u00abV\u00edctor Manuel Retrospective\u00bb (1969), \u00abMarcelo Pogolotti\u00bb (1974), \u00ab50th Anniversary of Revista de Avance\u00bb (1977), \u00abCarlos Enr\u00edquez Retrospective\u00bb (1979), \u00abRa\u00fal Mili\u00e1n\u00bb (1984), \u00abRen\u00e9 Portocarrero\u00bb (traveling exhibition through Europe, 1983-1985), \u00abLa Vanguardia: Emergence of Modern Art in Cuba\u00bb (in collaboration with Jos\u00e9 Antonio Navarrete), \u00abAmelia Pel\u00e1ez\u00bb (Caracas, Bogot\u00e1 and Guanajuato Cervantino Festival, 1991), \u00abThe Cuban Years of Carre\u00f1o\u00bb (Santiago de Chile, 1993), \u00abCentennial of Fidelio Ponce\u00bb (1995), \u00abCentennial of Amelia Pel\u00e1ez\u00bb (retrospective exhibition, 1996), \u00abAmelia Pel\u00e1ez: The Sign of Mallorca\u00bb (Palma de Mallorca, 1999), \u00abMax Jim\u00e9nez: Oils, Drawings and Prints\u00bb (2002) and \u00abThe School of Havana: Between Tradition and Modernity\u00bb (Zapopan Art Museum, Guadalajara Book Fair, 2002).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the publications authored by this critic are notable books such as \u00abV\u00edctor Manuel\u00bb (Vanguardia Cubana Editions, 2010) and \u00abPortocarrero\u00bb (Cuban Art Foundation, 2015), essential bibliographic sources for scholars of Cuban art.
