Additionally, violinist Liliana Serrano and violist Raiza Vald\u00e9s, both members of the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba, will participate as guest artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program opens with four songs from <strong>Opus 13<\/strong>, <strong>Melancholie<\/strong>, by the German master Paul Hindemith, one of the most influential composers of the first half of the 20th century. This will be followed by Chausson&#8217;s <strong>Chanson perp\u00e9tuelle<\/strong>, <strong>Opus 37<\/strong>, a major vocal and orchestral work written for soprano and piano quintet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The concert will conclude with Benjamin Britten&#8217;s <strong>Les Illuminations<\/strong>, <strong>Opus 18<\/strong>, a song cycle for soprano soloist and string orchestra. The pieces include poems in verse and prose from the collection Les Illuminations by the great Symbolist poet Arthur Rimbaud. This final piece will feature the Havana Chamber Orchestra, conducted by maestro Daiana Garc\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event is scheduled for Saturday, July 6, at 6:00 p.m., located on calle Oficios, entre Amargura y Churruca, in Old Havana.
