Camerata Cort\u00e9s, founded by the celebrated Cuban musician Jos\u00e9 Luis Cort\u00e9s, known as \u00abEl Tosco,\u00bb will take the stage this week at the Theater Hall of Havana’s National Museum of Fine Arts, under the baton of maestro Orlando Valle, \u00abMaraca\u00bb.<\/p>\n
The concert is set for October 11 at 7:00 p.m. in the Cuban Art Building, in celebration of the 21st anniversary of Camerata Cort\u00e9s. As announced on the ensemble\u2019s official Facebook page, the event will feature a special guest appearance by Argentine quena virtuoso Rodrigo Sosa.<\/p>\n
This distinguished flute ensemble, unique in its kind across the country, will also welcome renowned instrumentalist Belinda Guerra as a guest performer for the evening.<\/p>\n
Camerata Cort\u00e9s carries forward the rich musical legacy of Jos\u00e9 Luis Cort\u00e9s, who would have turned 73 on October 5. The group is composed of young, talented flutists, all graduates of Cuba’s prestigious art schools.<\/p>\n
