The final two performances of the 28th Alicia Alonso International Ballet Festival of Havana are now available to dance enthusiasts on the official YouTube channel of the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC).<\/p>\n
Both performances were filmed by the FVM Audiovisual and Cinematographic Creation Collective: Futura Video M\u00fasica, with general production by \u00c1ngel Berm\u00fadez and directed by Roberto Ravenna, as noted in a press release by the 28th Alicia Alonso International Ballet Festival Communications team.<\/p>\n
Viewers can enjoy the Closing Gala, which was presented on Sunday, November 10. The program featured the ballet Carmen<\/strong> by Alberto Alonso, led by principal dancer Viengsay Vald\u00e9s in the title role, along with Brazilian dancer Marcelo Gomes, Dani Hern\u00e1ndez, and \u00c1nyelo Montero. The gala concluded with the premiere of Gitaner\u00edas<\/strong>, set to music by Ernesto Lecuona and choreographed and performed by Joaqu\u00edn de Luz, who was joined by Viengsay Vald\u00e9s and pianists Marcos Madrigal and Aldo L\u00f3pez-Gavil\u00e1n. Several renowned guest artists at the festival also performed in this final presentation.<\/p>\n The other available performance, held on Saturday, November 9, at the Mart\u00ed Theater, includes appearances by Viengsay Vald\u00e9s, Elisa Carrillo, Mikhail Kaniskin, Semyon Chudin, Maria Iliushkina, Joaqu\u00edn de Luz, Patricia Donn, Marcelo Gomes, Ayaha Tsunaki, Joseph Gray, and dancers from the Colombian Ballet Company and the Ballet of the Teresa Carre\u00f1o Theater in Caracas.<\/p>\n During this occasion, two works premiered: Ara<\/strong>, choreographed by Osnel Delgado with music by Cuban pianist and composer Aldo L\u00f3pez-Gavil\u00e1n, starring principal dancer Grettel Morej\u00f3n and Osnel Delgado; and Folk Room<\/strong> by Norge Cede\u00f1o, performed by the Otrolado company.
