Most of the events will be in Havana, but one will take place in Matanzas\u2014the concert by pianist Ludovico Troncanetti. The piece, inspired by the dramatic aria <strong>Vissi d\u2019arte<\/strong> from Puccini\u2019s opera <strong>Tosca<\/strong>, set the tone for the upcoming celebrations.<\/p>\n<p>As a prelude to the week\u2019s events, the <strong>Made in Italy<\/strong> \u2013 <strong>Vissi D\u2019Arte<\/strong> concert by Marco Lo Russo was held on Saturday, November 23, at the Universal Art Building of the National Museum of Fine Arts. Lo Russo\u2019s solo accordion performance featured special participation by Danza Teatro Retazos.<\/p>\n<p>Another preview event took place on Friday with the opening of <strong>Puccini, 100 a\u00f1os<\/strong>, an exhibition of 24 posters at the CartelOn Cuban Graphic Gallery. The collection includes 12 posters inspired by Puccini\u2019s operas and 12 dedicated to his centenary, created by young Cuban designers. The exhibit invites audiences to experience operas such as <strong>La Boh\u00e8me<\/strong> and <strong>Madame<\/strong> <strong>Butterfly<\/strong> through the lens of contemporary Cuban graphic art.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3592 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.radioenciclopedia.cu\/cultural-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/expo-carteles.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1212\" height=\"924\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.radioenciclopedia.cu\/cultural-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/expo-carteles.jpg 1212w, https:\/\/www.radioenciclopedia.cu\/cultural-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/expo-carteles-300x229.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.radioenciclopedia.cu\/cultural-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/expo-carteles-1024x781.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.radioenciclopedia.cu\/cultural-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/expo-carteles-768x586.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1212px) 100vw, 1212px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Ana Morej\u00f3n, Director of International Relations at the Ministry of Culture, highlighted the significance of Italian Culture Week, the longest-running cultural week in Cuba. She noted the happy coincidence of its alignment with the 15th Havana Biennial, which also features visual artists and curators. \u00abOnce again, we welcome Italian culture as an integral part of Cuban culture and as a testament to the enduring bonds between our two nations,\u00bb she remarked.<\/p>\n<p>Katia C\u00e1rdenas, Director of Cultural Management at the Office of the Historian of Havana, paid tribute to the late Dr. Eusebio Leal, the visionary behind cultural weeks with various countries and a passionate advocate for Italian culture.<\/p>\n<p>C\u00e1rdenas reaffirmed the long-standing collaboration between Cuba and Italy in areas such as restoration and archaeological research, which extend to the network of heritage cities.
