It is a two-person show by National Plastic Arts Award winner Nelson Dom\u00ednguez and North American photographer Rick Swig. The Estudio-Galer\u00eda Los Oficios in Havana&#8217;s historic center will host an exhibition to celebrate the eternal romance between painting and photography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The venue shows 23 black and white photographs by Rick Swig, with their respective pictorial interpretations by Nelson Dominguez&#8217;s brush. The visual content is nothing more than portraits of Cuban musicians performing. Chucho Vald\u00e9s, Omara Portuondo, X Alfonso, and Alexander Abreu are among the protagonists.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.radioenciclopedia.cu\/cultural-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/mas-alla-sonido.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-379\" width=\"300\" height=\"380\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.radioenciclopedia.cu\/cultural-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/mas-alla-sonido.jpeg 750w, https:\/\/www.radioenciclopedia.cu\/cultural-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/mas-alla-sonido-237x300.jpeg 237w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The exhibition Musical Visions Photo: Marcos Harold Linares Garc\u00ed<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The artists themselves curated the exhibition, which also featured a guest artist: Mabel Poblet, who presented an installation entitled <strong>Gran Concierto<\/strong> (<strong>Great Concert<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This piece displays several photographs of Cuban musicians, all placed on an illuminated pedestal. It visually recreates the realization of a great concert filled with the greatest artists of our music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">It is <strong>Shared Visions<\/strong>, an undoubtedly interesting proposal: painting, photography, and installation, all connected by music.
