Maestro Bobby Carcass\u00e9s, founder of the International Jazz Plaza Festival, takes center stage this Monday at the Charles Chaplin Cinema in Cuba’s capital.<\/p>\n
Known as Cuba\u2019s showman, the 2012 National Music Award winner is currently a key figure in national and international jazz scenes.<\/p>\n
The concert, titled Carcasseando en el Jazz Plaza 40<\/strong><\/em>, features the prolific performer, composer, arranger, and teacher, alongside other masters of the universal genre: Cuban composer and saxophonist C\u00e9sar L\u00f3pez, Indonesian singer and saxophonist Yuyun George, and The Perkoff Trio from the United States.<\/p>\n The event will also showcase the 86-minute documentary El Misterio de la Clave – Coraz\u00f3n de la M\u00fasica Cubana<\/strong><\/em>, directed by German filmmaker Kurt Hartel.
