Until August 30, Rutas y Andares offers families access to some of the most popular itineraries, according to audience studies. Highlights include \u201cLa Habana de Cecilia Vald\u00e9s,\u201d historic churches, stained glass windows, archaeology, and colonial fortresses. This season features special options, including visits to completed restoration projects that were toured last summer while still under renovation.<\/p>\n

This week, the Folk Art Route will depart from the Museum House of the Distinguished Benem\u00e9rito de las Am\u00e9ricas Benito Ju\u00e1rez. Since July, participants have been admiring pieces crafted from metal, wood, and papier-m\u00e2ch\u00e9 that reflect the imaginations of various peoples and regions, highlighting the vital role these authentic creations play in fostering local economies.<\/p>\n

A route dedicated to textile design will showcase the evolution of women\u2019s fashion through collections at the Casa de la Obra P\u00eda Museum, Casa de \u00c1frica, the Museum of the City, and the Center for the Interpretation of Cuba-Europe Cultural Relations (Palacio del Segundo Cabo).<\/p>\n

The Special Route on Spanish Culture continues this August at the Centro Hispanoamericano, located along Havana\u2019s Malec\u00f3n. Here, visitors can view a selection of masterpieces by Iberian painters, preserved within the Museum of the City\u2019s collections.<\/p>\n

Andares and Children\u2019s Heritage Guides<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the Andares (Walking Tours), this Wednesday’s departure from Plaza de Armas will explore the theme \u00abTravelers Through Time: Chronicles of Women.\u00bb The following day, the Architecture Tour will focus on Amargura Street. On Friday, the tour of Havana\u2019s Colonial Defensive System will include a visit to the San Carlos de la Caba\u00f1a Fortress.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, families at the Quinta de los Molinos will virtually connect with Spain\u2019s Cultural Center for Peace Cooperation. Additionally, at the Mural Painting Museum, the focus will be on documenting decorative mural painting. On Saturday, the Tour of the Entrepreneurial and Creative Woman will feature a discussion on the path of change, including topics related to recycling and inclusion.<\/p>\n

Every Tuesday in August, the Children\u2019s Heritage Guides workshop takes place at Casa Eusebio Leal Spengler, involving\u00a0primary and secondary school students from the 64th Anniversary Pioneers\u2019 Congress of the Jos\u00e9 Mart\u00ed Organization in Old Havana. This series of workshops will conclude with its final tour on August 22.<\/p>\n
