Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba is once again extending an open invitation to dance, calling on grandmothers and grandfathers to share in the transformative power of movement at the first open gathering of 2026: Bailar no tiene edad<\/em><\/strong>. This project is primarily focused on older adults, yet it warmly welcomes people of all generations, bringing together the arts, health, and intergenerational connection.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, February 3, at 10:00 a.m., the main hall of Malec\u00f3n Art 255 will once again host this special event, led by director, teacher, and choreographer Lizt Alfonso, alongside dancers and instructors from Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba, whose energy enhances this unique, free experience.<\/p>\n

The initiative invites participants to enjoy and unwind for an hour to the rhythm of music that has accompanied different generations\u2014songs that have defined eras and evoke cherished memories. The experience is further enriched with breathing exercises and routines designed to cultivate serenity, self-control, and the joy of dancing, singing, and listening to music by the sea, among friends who, in that moment, feel like family.<\/p>\n

For Maestro Lizt Alfonso, it is a source of pride that the experience has captivated participants even close to 100 years of age, and that some travel from other provinces to Havana solely to recharge their energy through Bailar no tiene edad<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Now firmly established as a tradition, Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba reaffirms its commitment to inclusion and the well-being of all generations\u2014especially older adults\u2014by promoting respect and care through dance: the art form that inspires us and brings us together.<\/p>\n
