From the delicate melodic conception of the incidental music that accompanies the narrative to the songs\u00a0<em><strong>Caminos sobre el mar<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em><strong>Soy de coraz\u00f3n<\/strong><\/em>\u2014set to texts by playwright and poet Norge Espinosa\u2014the composer constructs a musical universe that engages deeply with the emotional and physical journey of the protagonists, Pepe and Jimmi, as they travel toward Baracoa, Cuba\u2019s first city.<\/p>\n<p>To record the original music, Llanes brought together a distinguished ensemble of colleagues at PM Records studios and Abdala Studio 3, including Yasek Manzano, Rodrigo Garc\u00eda, David Faya, Adri\u00e1n Aguiar, and Daiana Garc\u00eda, alongside the Havana Chamber Orchestra.<\/p>\n<p>The voices of Laritza Bacallao and Mar\u00eda Victoria Rodr\u00edguez add a lyrical and deeply expressive layer that brings to life the nocturnal universe of the character Estrellita, enriching the film\u2019s emotional atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p>This shortlist recognition underscores B\u00e1rbara Llanes\u2019s artistic versatility and her ability to expand the boundaries between classical music, contemporary creation, and cinematic language, strengthening her presence within the Ibero\u2011American audiovisual sphere.<\/p>\n<p>Translated by Luis E.
