The Musical Theater Company Habana joined the series of events currently marking Teatro Am\u00e9rica’s 85th anniversary.<\/p>\n
Written and directed by Alexis V\u00e1zquez, the comedy show Se alquila en Centro Habana<\/strong><\/em> was presented at the cultural venue and served as a tribute to the company\u2019s 22nd anniversary.<\/p>\n According to Teatro Am\u00e9rica programmer Janeisi D\u00edaz Serrano, the upcoming days will feature performances by artists from the Tropicana Cabaret, the Cuban Television Ballet, and the Ra\u00edces Profundas company.<\/p>\n In statements to Canal Caribe, D\u00edaz Serrano also noted that\u00a0in March the theater will revive\u00a0Oto\u00f1o trans<\/strong><\/em>, directed by Ra\u00fal de la Rosa, who, in February,\u00a0also led Juan Gabriel por siempre<\/em>, another show included in the anniversary program.<\/p>\n The Prodanza Center and the National Folkloric Ensemble of Cuba also promise artistic highlights at the venue, located at calle Galiano n\u00famero 253 entre Neptuno y Concordia, in the Centro Habana municipality of the capital.<\/p>\n \u00abAll of these performances will take place at five in the afternoon, and tickets can be purchased at the theater\u2019s box office from nine in the morning to one in the afternoon and from three in the afternoon until one hour after the performance begins,\u00bb the programmer added.<\/p>\n Since its founding on March 29, 1941, the Teatro de Variedades Am\u00e9rica has been a landmark in the city\u2019s social and cultural life and a meeting place for prominent figures of the arts from Cuba and around the world.<\/p>\n Translated by Luis E.
