{"id":4909,"date":"2026-04-02T11:21:18","date_gmt":"2026-04-02T15:21:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.radioenciclopedia.cu\/cultural-news\/?p=4909"},"modified":"2026-04-02T11:21:18","modified_gmt":"2026-04-02T15:21:18","slug":"heritage-and-harmony-mark-egrems-62nd-anniversary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.radioenciclopedia.cu\/cultural-news\/heritage-and-harmony-mark-egrems-62nd-anniversary-02042026\/","title":{"rendered":"Heritage and Harmony Mark Egrem\u2019s 62nd Anniversary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The release of two high-caliber productions\u2014<em><strong>Feeling con canci\u00f3n: Homenaje a Pedro Vega<\/strong><\/em> and <em><strong>Nueva era<\/strong><\/em>, by Maraca y la Camerata Cort\u00e9s\u2014serves as a special tribute to Cuba\u2019s oldest record label on its 62nd anniversary.<\/p>\n<p>To mark the occasion, the Empresa de Grabaciones y Ediciones Musicales (Egrem) unveiled both projects during a press gathering at the Sal\u00f3n de Mayo in Pabell\u00f3n Cuba, along Havana\u2019s La Rampa.<\/p>\n<p>The album <em><strong>Nueva era<\/strong><\/em>, by Maraca y la Camerata Cort\u00e9s, is a collaboration with Producciones Colibr\u00ed. Its liner notes were written by renowned flutist, composer, and educator Dr. Jos\u00e9 Loyola.<\/p>\n<p>The recording signals a new chapter in the trajectory of the ensemble founded by Jos\u00e9 Luis Cort\u00e9s\u2014hence the album\u2019s title\u2014explained Orlando \u201cMaraca\u201d Valle. He added that the record brings together the work of this flute ensemble\u2014unique in Cuba\u2014from its beginnings to the present day.<\/p>\n<p>For his part, Loyola expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to take part in the project and described what the album captures as something truly distinctive.<\/p>\n<p>The making-of documentary for <em><strong>Nueva era<\/strong><\/em>, directed by Marah G\u00f3ngora, will be available next week on digital platforms.<\/p>\n<p>Translated by Luis E.
