He will also lead the cast on July 26 alongside Principal Dancer Solange Villacorta, and on July 31 with soloist Avril Wieland, according to the company&#8217;s Press Office.<\/p>\n<p>Montero began his ballet training in 2006 through the National Ballet of Cuba&#8217;s Vocational Dance Program. In 2010, he enrolled at the Fernando Alonso National Ballet School, where he studied under distinguished teachers, including Ramona de S\u00e1a, Lourdes Arnau, and Marta Iris Fern\u00e1ndez.<\/p>\n<p>Upon graduating in 2019, he joined the National Ballet of Cuba, where he has distinguished himself through his technical excellence and remarkable stylistic versatility. His repertoire includes leading and soloist roles in the nineteenth-century Romantic and Classical repertoire, as well as contemporary works by Cuban and international choreographers.<\/p>\n<p>Montero was promoted to the rank of Coryph\u00e9e in 2021 and advanced to Soloist the following year. In 2023, he was promoted to Principal Dancer, and in January 2025 he attained the company&#8217;s highest artistic rank when he was named First Dancer.<\/p>\n<p>Translated by Luis E.
