{"id":572,"date":"2023-03-05T15:08:21","date_gmt":"2023-03-05T20:08:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.radioenciclopedia.cu\/cultural-news\/?p=572"},"modified":"2023-03-05T15:12:25","modified_gmt":"2023-03-05T20:12:25","slug":"the-23rd-habano-festival-concluded-photos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.radioenciclopedia.cu\/cultural-news\/the-23rd-habano-festival-concluded-photos-05032023\/","title":{"rendered":"The 23rd Habano Festival concluded (+Photos)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 23<sup>rd<\/sup> edition of the <strong>Habano Festival<\/strong> concluded its intense days with the traditional humidor auction, which raised 11.22 million euros for the national health system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have lived unique experiences around the Habano, after two years of hard waiting, following the Covid-19 pandemic, said Luis S\u00e1nchez Harguindey y Pardo de Vera, Co-President of Habanos, S.A., at the closing of the International Seminar and Trade Fair this Friday at the Havana Convention Center.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-medium is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.radioenciclopedia.cu\/cultural-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/luis-sanchz-harguindey-300x221.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-576\" width=\"412\" height=\"303\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.radioenciclopedia.cu\/cultural-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/luis-sanchz-harguindey-300x221.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.radioenciclopedia.cu\/cultural-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/luis-sanchz-harguindey-768x565.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.radioenciclopedia.cu\/cultural-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/luis-sanchz-harguindey.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 412px) 100vw, 412px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Luis S\u00e1nchez Harguindey y Pardo de Vera, Co-President of Habanos, S.A.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Experts spoke about the traditions, trades, rites and customs surrounding this precious product, \u00abour Habano,\u00bb said the executive, who thanked the specialists, manufacturers and producers for enriching the culture and sharing their knowledge of Habanos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More than 260 exhibitors from 10 countries participated in the fair with excellent activities in the areas of gastronomy, handicrafts, fashion, culture and a wide universe of Habano-related items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Comercial Iberoamericana S.A.<\/strong> won several awards in the categories of Free Design Stand, Most Visited Stand and Comprehensive Communication, while <strong>La Estancia S.A.<\/strong> won the award for Modular Design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1020\" height=\"584\" src=\"https:\/\/www.radioenciclopedia.cu\/cultural-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/comercial-premio-stand.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-579\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.radioenciclopedia.cu\/cultural-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/comercial-premio-stand.jpg 1020w, https:\/\/www.radioenciclopedia.cu\/cultural-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/comercial-premio-stand-300x172.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.radioenciclopedia.cu\/cultural-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/comercial-premio-stand-768x440.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1020px) 100vw, 1020px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Comercial Iberoamericana S.A.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In the Free Design category, two honorable mentions went to <strong>Guayabera Cohiba Admosphere<\/strong> and <strong>Brascuba S.A.<\/strong> Meanwhile, <strong>Havana Club S.A.<\/strong> received an award for Comprehensive Communication and <strong>Ron Legendario Reserva Especial<\/strong> was recognized for product novelty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Habanos World Challenge Competition<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Habanos World Challenge Competition<\/strong> was interesting and innovative in that it included non-alcoholic products in the competition, such as coffee, juices and chocolates, so as not to discriminate against those who, for traditional reasons, do not like to combine their precious Habanos with alcoholic products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The president of the jury, Maestro V\u00edctor Manuel Aguilera Noriega, explained to Radio Enciclopedia that for the first time a Muslim couple is participating in the finals with a proposal of non-alcoholic pairings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thus, he pointed out the need to have not only alcoholic products, as it is almost always done in the world, among the pairing of cigars.
