On this 95th anniversary of the Capitol, it feels as though Leal himself still walks its halls and stairways, as a dedicated Cuban, a patriot, just and sincere, an achiever of the impossible—just as he was throughout his life. Today’s tribute is dedicated to him, for within the Capitol, his legacy, dedication, ideas, and sense of beauty and goodness are enshrined.
