Pavel Mustelier at the Jubileo of Letras Cubanas

This Wednesday at the Fayad Jamís bookshop in Old Havana, the storyteller and university professor Pavel Mustelier Zamora will be the guest of El jubileo de Letras Cubanas.

In the literary space, which is run by critic and journalist Fernando Rodríguez Sosa, readers will be able to buy the author’s first book, Haslagán, published by Letras Cubanas. It is the first work in the Sonrisas de acero cycle of stories.

According to the publisher, it is an exciting read, «a choral novel that contains all the ingredients of a good fantasy story, but above all a gallery of credible and complex characters: men and women faced with difficult choices that test their humanity.»

Mustelier Zamora has a degree in biochemistry and is now a writer. He has worked for many years in scientific research related to the medical sciences.  He is a member of the Espacio Abierto Fantasy and Science Fiction Literary Creation Group.

His stories have been published in Cuban and foreign science fiction and fantasy anthologies, and he has received honourable mentions in the Fantastic Short Story and Poetry categories of the Oscar Hurtado competition.
