Honoring Mothers: Art for Mom National Handicrafts Fair

The Art for Mom National Handicrafts Fair — a vibrant celebration honoring mothers through Cuban artistic and creative talent — is set to open soon across the country.

Organized by the Cuban Fund of Cultural Assets, this year’s fair promises an unforgettable experience brimming with surprises and heartfelt moments. With events held in every province, Havana’s edition will take place from April 26 to May 10 at the Línea and 18 Cultural Station in El Vedado.

This year’s showcase features a diverse selection of handcrafted goods, including textiles, footwear, leather goods, furniture, jewelry, ceramics, glass, metalwork, and ornamental plants — all created by some of Cuba’s most talented artisans and designers.

A highlight in Havana will be En Línea con la Moda, two nights of runway shows spotlighting handcrafted fashion. Attendees will enjoy original apparel designs by Cuban creators, complete with accessories, shoes, and other elements that capture the essence of Cuban style. The event also aims to revive and celebrate the rich traditions of Cuban artisanal craftsmanship.

Art for Mom is more than just a place to find the perfect gift — it’s a celebration of Cuba’s cultural wealth and a powerful platform for supporting the country’s emerging artistic talents.
