Visit the Casa de las Tejas Verdes and the Servando Cabrera Moreno Museum This Summer

The Rutas y Andares project, designed for families to discover the city together, returns this summer to the Casa de las Tejas Verdes, located in the Miramar district. This week marks the launch of the summer course «The Sketch as a Tool for Surveying and Designing Urban Architectural Projects», taught by architect and professor Eduardo Egozcue Wechssung. The course is aimed at architecture students and is organized in collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture at the José Antonio Echeverría Technological University of Havana (CUJAE).
The program combines lectures on the history of architecture and urban planning with talks and fieldwork focused on sketching. Its core objective is to master sketching and drawing techniques while deepening the understanding of their importance as essential tools in the design process.
Another cultural institution offering a rich and diverse summer program for the entire Cuban family is the Servando Cabrera Moreno House Museum, also known as Mansión Villa Lita, located at 304 Paseo Street, between 13th and 15th streets in El Vedado. Visitors will be welcomed with free guided tours through the museum’s permanent exhibition halls, along with other surprises curated for the occasion.
To round off the visit, guests will be treated to a live performance by the children’s quartet Música Adentro, bringing the experience to a delightful close.
