This year, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, has been designated as the global host city for International Jazz Day 2025. Approximately 190 countries are expected to participate in the celebrations, which are promoted by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz.
Established by UNESCO in November 2011, International Jazz Day is celebrated annually on April 30. The day aims to raise awareness of jazz as a powerful educational tool and a catalyst for peace, unity, dialogue, and enhanced cooperation among peoples worldwide.
