Baila en Cuba 2025 Begins Next Week

The 18th edition of the international event Baila en Cuba will take place from November 16 to 21 in Havana—the capital of all Cubans—recognized by UNESCO as a Creative City in the field of music, according to Artex, Artistic and Literary Promotions, via its Cultural Tourism Agency Paradiso.

Also known as the World Meeting of Casino and Salsa Dance Academies and Dancers, the event will again feature both academic and practical sessions. It will also include dance couple competitions for participants, celebrating and awarding creativity, technique, and passion for the rhythms and dances of the largest island in the Antilles.

Workshops in Casino, Timba, Cha-cha-chá, Folklore, and Master Classes will be taught by professors from the Dance Arts Faculty of Cuba’s University of the Arts, along with Lady/Men Style—a discipline that refines dancers’ technique and expressiveness. According to the press release, these offerings will allow dance lovers from around the world to not only learn, but also become ambassadors of Cuban identity and culture.

The program also features performances by leading Cuban dance orchestras at the Salón Rosado de la Tropical Benny Moré, where participants can put their lessons into practice during five consecutive nights of concerts (excluding the opening night). Each evening’s show, organized by PMM, will include live bands, animators, and DJ sessions.

The Organizing Committee announced the concert schedule as follows:

  • Monday, November 17 – Adalberto Álvarez y su Son
  • Tuesday, November 18 – Manolito Simonet y su Trabuco
  • Wednesday, November 19 – Elito Revé y su Charangón
  • Thursday, November 20 – Issac Delgado y su Orquesta
  • Friday, November 21 – Maykel Blanco y su Salsa Mayor

The event also joins the celebrations for the 506th anniversary of Havana’s founding.

Tickets for the nightly concerts are available at the Paradiso Artex sales office and at the Salón Rosado de la Tropical Benny Moré.
