Book on Assassination Plots Against Fidel Castro to Be Launched

The publishing house Ocean Sur will release the book titled 10 Plots to Assassinate Fidel Castro, written by Fabián Escalante Font, the former head of Cuban State Security.

The presentation will be led by Dr. Elier Ramírez Cañedo, a historian, academic, and essayist. The event is scheduled for August 8 at 2:00 p.m. and will take place at the Fidel Castro Ruz Center, located at the corner of 11th Street and Paseo in El Vedado.

Escalante Font, who is also a historian, reveals a web of intrigue, betrayal, and the numerous failed attempts on the life of the leader of the Cuban Revolution. His book narrates a story of courage, cunning, and resilience, immersing the reader in a pivotal period of Cuba’s history shaped by the enduring presence of the Commander-in-Chief.
