Collage Habana Opens Borde: A Visual Journey Through the Horizon

Collage Habana Gallery will inaugurate the collective exhibition Borde, which brings together a selection of works by Cuban artists from different generations, exploring the metaphor of the horizon as both a visual boundary and a symbol of the unknown.
Opening to the public on Friday, October 4th, at the Collage Habana Gallery on San Rafael Boulevard in the Centro Habana municipality, the exhibition invites viewers on a cross-disciplinary journey through painting, photography, video, and installation art. Each work becomes a window into the search for a balance between space and time, as noted in the press release from the Cuban Fund of Cultural Assets.
Through various techniques and artistic languages, the artists delve into their personal interpretations of the horizon, that point where the real and the imaginary, the known and the undiscovered converge.
The exhibition is based on the premise that, although we all share the same sun, each individual has a unique horizon, shaped by their own experiences and perspectives. In this way, the show invites reflection on our condition as heterogeneous beings, encouraging us to appreciate the richness of our differences.
Some of the exhibited works come from private collections, while others are part of the gallery’s holdings.
