Coming Soon: MalaYerba Competition Catalog

The Youth Art Fund and the Los Carbonell Foundation (FLC)/NG Art Gallery, partners and managers of the visual arts profile of the platform, will present the catalog of the first edition of the MalaYerba competition, launched in 2023, at the Theater Hall of the National Museum of Fine Arts of Cuba.
The publication will be unveiled on Friday, January 24, at 3:00 p.m., as part of the collateral events of the 15th Havana Biennial and in celebration of the Youth Art Fund’s two-year anniversary.
The catalog includes texts by Corina Matamoros, essayist and curator of the museum; Neida Peñalver, historian and coordinator of the Youth Art platform; and Sandra García, curator and gallerist from the aforementioned foundation. The design was created by the Consense Studio team, edited by Sheyla Valladares, and printed by the Spanish publishing house Selvi Artes Gráficas.
According to its promoters, the catalog, which compiles the works of the twenty-three emerging finalists from this inaugural competition, serves as an essential tool for these artists. It provides a professional and accessible platform for showcasing their creations while also helping to expand the reach of their works.
