Exhibitions in the old city

There are several art exhibitions taking place in Havana’s historic centre throughout the month of January. Starting on 5th January, the Hispano-American Cultural Centre will showcase the While Spring Arrives exhibition which will feature a significant portion of the works created by Enrique Angel Cabrera in 2023.
The exhibition will showcase the artist’s incisive character and his most common theme, which is light and its revelation in his personal space. Meanwhile, the Barcelona-Habana space will exhibit a selection of semester projects by students from the Lace Workshop, starting next Monday.
This exhibition will highlight basic stitches and those from different European schools in pieces that combine tradition and utility. Lastly, for nature enthusiasts, a visit to Casa Alejandro de Humboldt is recommended to see the Pétalos exhibition by the artist Tania Benítez del Risco.
This exhibition will present the harmonious beauty of the variety of shapes and colours of flowers, as well as their simplicity and delicacy.
