Felipe Dulzaides Makes His Bellas Artes Debut with La estrategia del bambú

The National Museum of Fine Arts will inaugurate La estrategia del bambú, the first solo exhibition by artist Felipe Dulzaides, on July 19. This exhibition features a selection of works created between 2007 and 2025, with most pieces being previously unseen. It includes drawings, installations, photographs, and videos.
These works are presented within a cohesive curatorial framework that highlights the poetic, philosophical, and intimate tone characteristic of Dulzaides’s innovative approach, which blends various artistic media.
Jorge Fernández Torres, the director of the museum and curator of the exhibition, states that «La estrategia del bambú» represents a significant stage in the artist’s creative development. Described as a «visual essay,» the exhibition showcases a process of artistic consolidation, as noted in a press release received by Radio Enciclopedia.
Felipe Dulzaides is a graduate of Cuba’s University of the Arts and the San Francisco Art Institute in California. He has held more than twenty solo exhibitions in Cuba and internationally. His artwork has been showcased in prominent national art spaces as well as in renowned institutions around the world.
