Honoring Fathers with Cuban Artistry: “Arte para Papá” Craft Fair Returns

To celebrate Cuban fathers, the Cuban Fund of Cultural Assets has announced one of the season’s most anticipated events: the Arte para Papá National Craft Fair, a tribute to fatherhood through the creativity and talent of Cuban craftspeople.

This unique celebration promises to deliver an unforgettable experience filled with surprises and heartfelt moments, said Lisandra Castillo Martínez, Communications Director at the Fund, during a press conference.

The fair will take place across all provinces of the country from June 7 to 14. In Havana, the event will be held at the Estación Cultural Línea y 18 in El Vedado, running daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

A total of 140 stands will be featured at the Havana fair venue, including 64 by independent craftspeople, 3 institutional booths, and 73 representing non-state business actors.

Each provincial venue will also host an opening concert and a closing performance to mark the occasion.

This edition of Arte para Papá offers visitors a wide range of handcrafted goods, including textiles, footwear, leatherwork, furniture, jewelry, costume jewelry, ceramics, glasswork, metalwork, and ornamental plants—each piece created by outstanding local artists and designers.

Attendees will have the chance to explore the finest handcrafted products from their own provinces and, in some cases, from other regions of the country. Additionally, each provincial branch will organize side activities, such as a visit to nursing homes on June 12.

Arte para Papá is more than just a marketplace for thoughtful gifts—it is a celebration of Cuba’s rich cultural heritage and a platform to support emerging artistic talent.
