National School of Music to Host National Trombone Competition

The National School of Music will hold its National Trombone Competition from July 11 to 13, featuring students from the provinces of Holguín, Camagüey, Las Tunas, and Villa Clara, as well as from the Guillermo Tomás Conservatory and the National School of Music itself.
This competition offers students the opportunity to showcase their skills and talent in trombone performance, promoting development and excellence in this field, reports the National Center of Art Schools of Cuba, the event’s organizer.
The participation of students from across the country will facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences, strengthening the national musical community.
The jury for the competition is chaired by Alberto Batista and includes esteemed judges such as Rodolfo Ochoa, César Odio, Roger Meriño, Emilio Sánchez, Ivanovi Garzón, Osley Antonio Patridge, Jessica Durive, and María del Rosario Hernández.
The National Trombone Competition is essential for inspiring young musicians and motivating them to continue refining their skills. It provides an excellent platform for them to exhibit their performance.
Furthermore, it allows teachers and judges to identify and support emerging talents, contributing to the growth and excellence of the next generation of musicians in Cuba.
