New book by Reinaldo Cedeño Pineda presented in Santiago de Cuba

¡Apunten…! The title of a new book was presented in Santiago de Cuba, with the author, journalist, and cultural promoter Reinaldo Cedeño Pineda in attendance.
The 131-page book is a compilation of texts written by the author and published in numerous Cuban media outlets, including Juventud Rebelde, La Jiribilla, Alma Mater, Cubaperiodistas, the Cuban Radio Portal, and other websites. It includes articles that the author contributed to the July 26 contest organized by the Union of Cuban Journalists (UPEC), some of which were awarded.
Through these texts, we have the opportunity to discuss and enhance the world. Nothing is foreign to the poet, the traveler, the man. The daily, exuberant Cuba can be assembled at the same time as the creator, the broadcaster, the tireless person who observes, who pays equal attention to the great and the small,» journalist Raúl Nogués points out in the book’s prologue.

This presentation by sociologist Yaliannis Rodríguez marked the beginning of the 55th anniversary celebrations of Radio Siboney. This Santiago station has stood out for broadcasting instrumental music and showcasing the national and international artistic scene beyond the Cuban capital.
During the meeting, which was held in the studio theater of Radio Mambí, Víctor Hugo Leyva Sojo, the president of UPEC in the province, presented Reinaldo Cedeño with the prize given by Editorial de la Mujer in the most recent edition of the July 26th contest.

Elio Salas Rodríguez, like Cedeño, received applause from the attendees, who were mostly professionals in the field of journalism.
On this occasion, attendees received a digital package that included other titles by the author, such as Ser periodista, ser Quijote and Tejiendo un país. Additionally, a postcard designed by Teresa Melo featuring Cedeño’s poems was given out, along with testimonials from twelve Cuban professionals collected in the book Quemar las naves, hacer periodismo (Ocean Sur, 2023) by Liudmila Peña Herrera and Rodolfo Romero Reyes.
The next presentation of ¡Apunten…! will take place at the Elvira Cape Provincial Library on Saturday, September 16, at 4:00 p.m.; and readers can currently access this book from the Roque Libros publishing house through the Claustrofobias platform: https://www.claustrofobias.com/tienda/apunten/.
