Osdalgia’s Latest Book Unveiled at the 33rd Havana International Book Fair

A testament to the memories of the «Lady of Song,» Osdalgia Lesmes, the book Osdalgia. Las canciones que descargo was presented by Ediciones Cubanas de Artex as part of the 33rd Havana International Book Fair 2025.

On Saturday, February 15, at the José Antonio Portuondo Hall in the Fortaleza de San Carlos de la Cabaña—the main venue for the literary event in Havana—this volume was introduced. In it, the artist reflects on a diverse range of musical texts and authors that have shaped both her personal and professional life.

The book explores iconic pieces such as La gloria eres tú and Contigo en la distancia, among others, which Osdalgia masterfully performs on stages both in Cuba and abroad.

The back cover describes the work as “a unique and broad selection of standout Cuban musical pieces, performed by renowned artists who have transcended cultural boundaries.”

Co-written by Osdalgia Lesmes and music researcher Rafael Lam, Osdalgia. Las canciones que descargo offers readers a fascinating musical journey from the past to the present.
