Over 2,000 Works Registered for the 45th International Festival of New Latin American Cinema

With the close of submissions for the 45th edition of the International Festival of New Latin American Cinema, scheduled from December 5 to 15, the Festival organizers have announced that over 2,000 works have been registered for competition. Among these entries, 1,660 fall under the categories of fiction, documentary, and animation; 226 submissions are for the unpublished screenplay category; and 131 for the poster competition.

Every year, Latin American filmmakers, producers, and actors enthusiastically respond to the call for this prestigious event. The festival is not just a competition but also a vital meeting point for industry professionals and a discerning audience with a deep appreciation for regional cinema.

For many participants, this Festival is the crowning achievement after showcasing their works at international events, where they gain exposure and awards. For others, it marks the debut of their first films. All are welcomed during the ten days of festivities, and this year’s milestone 45th edition promises to be a special celebration—a showcase of creativity, shared experiences, and a collective commitment to advancing Latin American and Caribbean cinema.
