The 23rd Edition of the Cuban Cultural Fair Arte en La Rampa Opens Its Doors

This Tuesday, July 9th, the 23rd edition of the Cuban Cultural Fair Arte en La Rampa opens at Pabellón Cuba in Havana, featuring a concert by the renowned group Toques del Río.

This summer event presents an excellent opportunity to explore products from 93 national exhibitors and enjoy a diverse program tailored for various audiences eagerly anticipating the fair.

Several Cuban cultural institutions will be represented through their stands, alongside artisans and artists showcasing crafts such as footwear, jewelry, ceramics, woodworking, and textiles. Artex will participate with offerings from Ediciones Cubanas, the Sandunga platform, and the Musicalia, Clave Cubana, and Bis Music agencies.

Arte en La Rampa will run until September 1st, maintaining its usual hours: from Tuesday to Friday, it will be open from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tickets are priced at 80 Cuban pesos, with free entry for pregnant women, the disabled, and children up to 12 years old.

As part of the program, this Tuesday at the Alfredo Guevara Cinema Hall at Pabellón Cuba, the 2008 film The Spirit, directed by Frank Miller, will be shown at 5:00 p.m. as part of the Noir Cinema Hours cycle, Noir with Superheroes.

Every Wednesday in the same venue, the premiere of telefilms scheduled for the television show Una calle mil caminos will take place at 2:00 p.m.

The lineup at La Pérgola includes Siempre Jueves hosted by Roly Ávalos on Thursdays, the Peña de Trova Tres Tazas on Fridays, Por los Caminos del Arte with hostess Marianela Duflar on Saturdays, and the Peña Campesina on Sundays. Additionally, there will be concerts on the Main Stage and activities for children on Saturdays and Sundays starting at 11:00 a.m.

In the Salón de Mayo, the popular space Encuentro con… will be hosted by journalist and director Magda Resik every Thursday. This time, the guest will be Manuel Herrera, director of Zafiros, locura azul.

Arte en La Rampa dedicates its 23rd edition to the 65th anniversaries of the founding institutions of Cuban cultural policy, such as the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry, the National Theater of Cuba, and the Casa de las Américas, as well as the 505th anniversary of the Villa de San Cristóbal de La Habana.
