The López-Gavilán García Family at the National Theater of Cuba

The López-Gavilán García Family, accompanied by the Havana Chamber Orchestra, expanded with multiple guest artists and conducted by Daiana García Siverio, will present a concert on Saturday, November 23, at 7:00 p.m. in the Covarrubias Hall of the National Theater of Cuba.
The show, titled De todos los colores y también sinfónico, will feature works by Aldo López-Gavilán. At the heart of the event will be the Cuban premiere—performed by the composer himself—of the Piano Concerto Emporium.
The program will also include:
- Concierto para Clarinete y Orquesta, performed by Coqui Calzadilla García
- Luciérnagas, featuring Adriana and Andrea López-Gavilán García on piano, performing four hands
- The iconic musical tale En el ocaso de la hormiga y el elefante, celebrating its 25th anniversary, with performances by Tania Haase Solórzano on violin, Rodrigo García Ameneiro on piano, and narration by singer Rochy Ameneiro
In recent years, Aldo López-Gavilán has solidified his place as one of Cuba’s leading contemporary composers. With this program, he not only showcases his virtuosic works but also highlights his family’s remarkable talent, uniting generations through music.
