Visual Arts Development Centre Presents Érase una vez la luz Exhibition

The Visual Arts Development Centre is set to unveil a new exhibition this coming August: Érase una vez la luz by the young Cuban artist Evelyn Carnot Montes.

Evelyn Carnot Montes’ multidisciplinary exhibition allows us to perceive the shapes, colours, and volume of objects through light. This is particularly significant in photography, as an image is the imprint of the light reflected by objects, conveying both information and emotion, according to a press release from the National Council of Visual Arts, under the Ministry of Culture.

Evelyn Carnot Montes, a talented young artist, masterfully plays with light and images, creating an artistic expression that transcends boundaries and provokes a dialogue without limits.

This solo exhibition, curated by Meira Marrero, will open on 1 August at 5:00 p.m. The Visual Arts Development Centre is located on Calle San Ignacio, esquina a Teniente Rey Teniente Rey, in the Plaza Vieja of Havana’s Historic Centre.
