Waldo Mendoza Invites You to a Delightful Coffee and Chocolate Experience

Heating up the scene with coffee and chocolate is the popular Cuban singer and songwriter Waldo Mendoza, who is gearing up to host an exciting event under this enticing title. Mendoza, along with other Cuban performers, will take the stage this upcoming weekend in Havana.

From September 20 to 22, the capital’s Hotel Mariposa, located at km 6.5 of the Autopista Novia Del Mediodía in Arroyo Arenas, La Lisa municipality, will be the venue for various activities, including a theoretical event, performances by artists such as the band Lo Real Maravilloso, Karmen Muradas, Bryan Sánchez, and special concerts featuring Haila María Mompié alongside the host himself.

This inaugural edition of Calentando el Café con Chocolate is part of La Lisa’s Cultural Week and serves as a counterpart to the Chocolate con Café Festival, which Mendoza also organizes annually in Guantánamo, as announced in a press conference.

The event will also showcase performances by students from the National School of Art and the University of the Arts of Cuba. In addition, a special segment will be dedicated to children, with Fiesta de Gato y Pon by Annie Garcés on Saturday, September 21, and entertainment from Moñitos the Clown and the group Retoño on Sunday, September 22, starting at 10:00 a.m.

These activities aim to foster cultural exchange through academic initiatives and an appreciation of Cuban traditions, embracing a variety of expressions, including culinary arts.

Waldo Mendoza has hinted at a special selection of his most beloved songs, which he plans to perform in an exclusive concert as part of Calentando el Café con Chocolate. This celebration will also coincide with his 58th birthday, adding a personal touch to the festivities.
