Wifredo Lam Contemporary Art Centre to host exhibition by Felipe Dulzaides

The exhibition Como círculos de agua by the renowned artist Felipe Dulzaides will be inaugurated next Friday at the Wifredo Lam Contemporary Art Centre in Old Havana.
The exhibition brings together the artist’s work from his beginnings as a student to the present day. Like a kind of ouroboros, the works refer to a cycle in which discourses travel from the past to the present in a rereading of time that finds and weaves answers from an origin that would define a style, a feeling, a path.
It is resilience, the search for poetry, the keys to a language that is simple and subtle in its form and complex and sharp in its content, explains the curator of the exhibition, Yanet Oviedo Matos.
Photography and video, as well as objects, drawings and paintings, complete the framework of a cartography of life; micro-stories that translate a difficult reality in a constant search for alternatives. The phenomenon of emigration, the idea, but above all the return, the return to a perhaps lost, ambiguous identity.
