Special Day of Cultural and Sustainable Empowerment in Old Havana

The celebrations marking the 83rd anniversary of Dr. Eusebio Leal Spengler continue at the iconic Community Cultural Development Space located in the Palace of the Counts of Jaruco in Plaza Vieja, Old Havana.

The Department of Cultural Management of the Office of the Historian of the City of Havana (OHCH) inaugurated this new venue for the AMA Local Development Project. This initiative promotes the growth of significant eco-friendly cultural ventures led by women and is part of the ambitious international project, «Promoting Culture as a Tool for Social Transformation in Old Havana’s Historic Center, with a Focus on Gender, Participation, and Environmental Sustainability,» as noted in a post on the OHCH Cultural Program’s Facebook page.

The AMA Project aims to transform Havana’s cultural scene through three core pillars: sustainable and creative design, healthy and mindful nutrition, and the artistic creation of stage costumes.

This space represents a unique blend of art, culture, and environmental sustainability, offering services and products that enrich the city’s cultural community while encouraging eco-friendly practices and social values.
