Presentation of Álbum Blanco for Silvio Rodríguez at UNEAC

With the presentation of the album Álbum Blanco for Silvio Rodríguez, in the series Detrás de la portada, scheduled for October 20 at the Sala Villena of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC), the Cuban Institute of Music will celebrate Cuban Culture Day.

This phonogram, produced by Bis Music, had been conceived around five years ago but was only completed in 2025 by its producer Enrique Carballea, according to the press release issued by the institution.

It is a compilation of Silvio Rodríguez’s older tracks, including several previously unreleased pieces, created between the late 1960s and the first half of the 1970s.

Eleven songs are performed by eleven voices, confirming that Silvio Rodríguez’s compositions have captured the spirit of the era in which they were created.
