Habana y ¡Olé!: A Cuban-Style Seville Fair Comes to Malecón Art 255

Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba invites the public to experience an authentic flamenco celebration with a Cuban flair through Habana y ¡Olé!, a unique event that will bring the joy and vibrant colors of Seville’s Fair to Havana.

This Saturday, April 25, from 5:00 p.m. local time until midnight, the Malecón Art 255 venue will come alive with sevillanas, rumba, and more in an evening that promises rhythm and fun, according to a press release.

Throughout the week, dancer-instructors from Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba will offer short sevillanas lessons for anyone interested in discovering the joy of the dance and learning its basic steps in a short time.

Polka dots, flowers, combs, shawls, wide-heeled shoes, and plenty of dancing will define Habana y ¡Olé!, which will also feature an unmissable live music lineup by Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba’s ensemble, led by maestro Carmen Souto. Special guests will include guitarist and composer Reynier Mariño and his group, singers Geydi Chapman and Tony Lugones, and actress Yamira Díaz as host.

Don’t miss the chance to attend dressed in Spanish-inspired attire. The event will also feature food offerings, raffles, and sales stands with products inspired by the celebration.
