Cuban Singer Claudio Rodríguez Honored at Las Vegas Song Festival
Cuban singer Claudio Rodríguez received the Las Vegas TV Trophy at the Las Vegas Song Festival in the United States, marking another international accolade in recognition of his artistic career.
The young performer competed in the Romantic/Pop Original Songs category with “Me Preguntan,” a beautiful composition by Nicole Ferran. The song also earned him recognition months earlier at Spain’s Orfeum Awards.
“Me Preguntan” has attracted particular attention this year because of its growing reach. The song has appeared on several PistaCubana charts after becoming one of the most-listened-to musical numbers on Cuban radio and television programs, as well as on some international stations.
For the solo artist, the FestiVegas award represents an important opportunity on the road to performing on other international stages and opens the way to more ambitious artistic projects.
Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, the competition—dedicated to songs and poems in Spanish—is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Over the past two decades, it has showcased emerging composers and performers from different countries, serving as a promotional platform, particularly along the western coast of the United States.
